From now on, .mk registrations (Macedonia) are temporarily impossible due to the fact that the organisation which was responsible for .mk registrations (.mk registry) no longer has the permission of the Macedonian government to register .mk domain names. Why they don’t have this permission any more isn’t clear.
At the moment, the Macedonian Ministry of Informatics is responsible for all .mk registrations. Right now, they are looking for a new organisation which can handle the .mk registrations. It is estimated that this search will approximately take 4 weeks. So during the next month, .mk registrations are impossible.
.mk names which are already registered will keep functioning. We’ll keep you posted about this topic.
