Various blocks already exist to protect your brand name online under multiple extensions. Two new blocks will be available soon, namely the GlobalBlock and the GlobalBlock+
The GlobalBlock and GlobalBlock+ are the first blocks that allow you to protect your brand name online under both gTLDs and ccTLDs. Your name will therefore be protected under hundreds of extensions at the same time. Your brand name will be blocked under all these extensions. So no one else will have the option to register your name under one of these extensions.
You do have the option to unblock a certain extension included in this block and to register your name under this extension so that you can actively use this active domain name.
The GlobalBlock and the GlobalBlock+ can be activated for a period of 1 or 3 years.
What exactly is the difference between the two blocks?
The GlobalBlock offers the option to block your name under all gTLDs and ccTLDs included in this block.
The GlobalBlock+ goes a few steps further and offers the option to protect your name and all 3 variants that include all gTLDs and ccTLDs in this block.
Who can activate these blocks?
The following people can have a GlobalBlock or GlobalBlock+ active for their name:
