However those numeric names can&#8217;t contain more than 8 digits. Combinations, so a 2 character .tel name containing 1 letter and 1 number are also possible (for instance a1.tel).<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->The  landrush for those names will start on June 1st and will end on June 14th. During this landrush everyone who wishes to do so can register such a .tel domain name. Applications will be treated on a first come, first served basis. However there are certain names which can&#8217;t be registered:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 letter of 1 number .tel names (a.tel through z.tel aren&#8217;t possible just like 0.tel through 9.tel)<\/li>\n<li>2 letter .tel names which form a country code (be.tel, it.tel, us.tel,&#8230; )<\/li>\n<li>numeric .tel names which contain more than 8 numbers (so phone numbers aren&#8217;t possible)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Telnic (.tel registry) has announced there will be a landrush for 2 character .tel names (for instance ab.tel) and for .tel names which only contains numbers (for instance 12.tel).
