{"id":577,"date":"2010-01-21T18:06:59","date_gmt":"2010-01-21T16:06:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tld.sc\/en\/?p=577"},"modified":"2020-01-13T10:59:41","modified_gmt":"2020-01-13T08:59:41","slug":"colombia-relaxes-registration-procedure","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bnamed.blog\/en\/2010\/01\/colombia-relaxes-registration-procedure\/","title":{"rendered":"Colombia relaxes registration procedure"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"long_text\"><span style=\"background-color: #ffffff;\" title=\"Vanaf 7 februari 2010 versoepelt de registratie-procedure voor Colombiaanse domeinnamen aanzienlijk.\">As from February 7th 2010, the Colombian registry relaxes the registration procedure for Colombian domain names significantly. <\/span><span style=\"background-color: #ffffff;\" title=\"Momenteel is er genotarizeerd papierwerk nodig om een domeinnaam onder het Colombiaanse domein te registreren.\">Currently notarised paperwork is needed to register a domain name under the Colombian domain. <\/span><span title=\"Dit zal vanaf 7 februari niet langer nodig zijn.\">As from February 7th, this will be no longer needed. <\/span><span style=\"background-color: #ffffff;\" title=\"Verder zal het ook voor individuen mogelijk worden een naam onder de Colombiaanse extensie te registreren.\">It will also be possible for an individual to register a name under the Colombian extension. <\/span><span style=\"background-color: #ffffff;\" title=\"Daarnaast dient er ook geen gebruik meer te worden gemaakt van een lokaal contactpersoon in Colombia, de vereiste local presence wordt dus afgeschaft.\">Also having a local contact in Colombia is no longer necessary, the required local presence is therefore eliminated. <\/span><span title=\"Ten slotte gaat de registry ook transfers toestaan.\">It will also become possible to register domain names per year instead of per 2 years. Finally, the registry also allow transfers. <\/span><span style=\"background-color: #ffffff;\" title=\"De registry hoopt dat door deze maatregelen het aantal registraties van Colombiaanse namen zal stijgen waardoor ze na verloop van tijd een prijsdaling kunnen doorvoeren.\">The registry hopes that through these measures the number of Colombian name registrations will increase over time so they can carry a price decrease.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><span style=\"background-color: #ffffff;\" title=\"De registry overweegt ook om het .co domein te releasen.\">The registry is also thinking about realising the .co domain. <\/span><span style=\"background-color: #ffffff;\" title=\"Momenteel kunnen namen enkel geregistreerd worden onder het .com.co domein.\">Currently names can only be registered under the .com.co domain. <\/span><span style=\"background-color: #ffffff;\" title=\"De registry denkt er nu over het .co domein ook ter beschikking te stellen voor registratie.\">The registry is considering to make to .co domain also available for registration. <\/span><span style=\"background-color: #ffffff;\" title=\"De eerste stap in deze release zou een sunrise periode zijn waarbij houders van een .com.co naam die geregistreerd is voor 30 juli 2008 de kans krijgen deze naam onder het .co domein te registreren.\">The first step in this release would be a sunrise period in which holders of a .com.co name which was registered before July 30th 2008, will get the opportunity to register this name under the .co extension.
