As a result, all the following names will become available: 1.lu, rd.lu, bp.lu, hp.lu, \u00e9k.lu, &#8230; The only names that you will not be able to register are lu.lu and ns.lu . The release will happen in 3 phases.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div class=\"tlid-result-transliteration-container result-transliteration-container transliteration-container\">\n<div class=\"tlid-transliteration-content transliteration-content full\"><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"en\"><strong><em>Sunrise: August 31, 2020 &#8211; October 2, 2020<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\nDuring this sunrise, owners of a registered trademark valid in Luxembourg or Luxembourg companies can register their 1 and 2 character .lu name. They do have to meet a number of conditions:<br \/>\n&#8211; The name they wish to register must exactly match their trademark or company name. And characters also count. For example, RD will be able to register the name rd.lu, but R&amp;D cannot claim this name.<br \/>\n&#8211; The trademark or company name must have been active before July 31, 2020<\/span><\/span>The registry will check all applications that come in during this period and by October 16, 2020 at the latest you&#8217;ll know whether your application is being retained.<\/p>\n<p>If there is only 1 valid application for a name, it will be assigned to the company or trademark owner that submitted the application. In case of 2 or more valid applications, the name will be sold to the highest bidder. When submitting the application, you can specify a maximum price that you wish to spend on this name. In this way it will be determined who is the highest bidder. If there are 2 parties who have made the same offer, a random drawing will be determined to whom the name will be awarded.<\/p>\n<p>A non-refundable fee is also associated with a sunrise application, regardless of whether you are assigned the name or not.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Landrush: November 2, 2020 &#8211; November 30, 2020<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\nDuring this second phase of the release, anyone who wishes to submit an application can register an available 1 or 2 character .lu domain name. If multiple requests are received for the same name, the name will be sold to the highest bidder.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>General availability: from December 15, 2020<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\nDuring this phase anyone who wishes can register a still available 1 or 2 character .lu name.
