IDN names are domain name that may also contain non latin characters. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"spn_outer_TLDInfo_txtInfoNL_373\"><span><!--more--><\/span><\/span><span id=\"spn_outer_TLDInfo_txtInfoNL_373\">DNS.be  has decided to use a set of characters that contains all accented letters in Dutch, French and German, the 3 official Belgian languages. Moreover also characters from other European languages were included, such as Swedish, Danish and Finnish characters. The following characters may be used: <span id=\"spn_TLDInfo_txtInfoNL_373\">\u00df, \u00e0, \u00e1, \u00e2, \u00e3, \u00f3, \u00f4,  \u00fe, \u00fc, \u00fa, \u00f0, \u00e4, \u00e5, \u00ef, \u00e7, \u00e8, \u00f5, \u00f6, \u00ff, \u00fd, \u00f2, \u00e6, \u00e9, \u00ea, \u00eb, \u00ec, \u00ed, \u00f8, \u00f9, \u00ee, \u00fb,  \u00f1, \u0153<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>DNS.be also decided there won&#8217;t be a sunrise for IDN .be names. This means that owners of a registered trademark won&#8217;t be given priority to register their mark first. The release will start immediately with a landrush during which everyone who wishes to do so can register an IDN name under the .be extension. The first come, first served principle will apply.<\/p>\n<p><span><span>So the best thing to do is to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bnamed.net\/en\/extensies\/Belgium\" target=\"_blank\">pre-register<\/a> your IDN .be name so your registrar can file your application on June 11th at the registry.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On June 11th 2013 DNS.be (.be-registry) starts offering the possibility to register IDN .be names.
