9 million .uk names registered

Just before the beginning of the new year, Nominet (.uk registry) reached an important milestone. The 9th millionth .uk domain name was registered.

This name, active2011.co.uk was registered by the Nirvana Spa and Pulse 8 Health & Fitness Club based in Wokingham. Obviously the English registry is very pleased with this new milestone.

Moreover, 2010 has been a fantastic year for .uk names. The English registry just announced .uk domain names have realised a net increase of more than 1 million registrations during 2010.
