TradeMark ClearingHouse about to perform a test run

TradeMark ClearingHouse (TMCH), the party via which trademark holders need to file an application first if they wish to register a name during a sunrise phase of a new gTLD, is about to perform a test run.

At the end of May, the sunrise phase for 2 subdomains will begin, radio.fm and radio.am. The registry who manages the ;am and .fm extension has asked TM.biz to control this sunrise. If you wish to register a domain name during this sunrise you need to be the owner of a registered trademark. To register your trademark under those extensions, you’ve got 2 choices:

– You file an application at TM.biz to register your domain name once the sunrise of those new extensions has begun. They’ll check your data
– You file an application at TMCH to register your trademark and once the sunrise of those new extension has begun you register your domain name via TM.biz. They’ll contact TMCH to check whether your data are correct

Like this TMCH will have the chance to perform a test run for the first time. Trademark holders who already filed an application for the registration of their trademark at TMCH and wish to register their name under radio.fm or radio.am will become the first test people.
